Autumn in Somerset

Posted on 2009.11.07 at 10:51

Distortion Curve, originally uploaded by Mushkush.

We went down to Somerset last weekend to visit the newly delivered niece and see L&K, and for the first time in ages, took some photos. These are them.

I am very partial to some of them.

The Unseen Photos

Federal Hall, originally uploaded by Mushkush.

Come, see the photos nobody else has seen!

I’ve put together a set in flickr of the photos that, it says, have 0 views. Like this picture of Federal Hall, NYC, which has been hanging around for a million years. Also surprising underviewed: A very cute picture of Holly in 2005, my 30th Birthday and Scott’s 40th Birthday.

Click through to witness the never before seen delights!

    Cycling

Today was a beautiful morning for a cycle. But why were there so many people out and about? Loads of parents and children, and a whole pride of runners in blue. Such a shame it had to end at work. (#) It also seems that I’ve lost my bus pass, so I guess I’m going to be cycling a lot more oftener, then. (#)

    • It’s not in the dictionary, but if it was, Go Ape would be described as a ‘high-wire forest adventure’.</p>

That means we build giant obstacle courses up in the trees using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire, and top it all off with the country’s best zip lines (including the longest at 426 metres – check it out on You Tube).

We then kit people out with harnesses, pulleys and karabiners and let them loose into the forest canopy.

The result is spectacular. The Go Ape experience gets the adrenalin pumping, gets people out of their comfort zones and above all (no pun intended), it’s just great fun.
